1) Scope

This Policy applies to information processed by Heruno Team in connection with the Services. It does not apply to third-party websites, platforms, or services that you may access through the Services.

2) Information We Collect

We collect information from you, automatically when you use the Services, and from your device (with permission where required).

2.1 Information you provide

• Account information: name, username, email address.
• Customer support: content of messages you send to us (including any attachments you choose to provide).
• Optional AI Guide inputs: text and/or images you choose to submit for generating a reflection.

2.2 Information collected automatically

• Device and app information: device model, operating system version, language, app version, identifiers necessary for app functionality.
• Usage data and analytics: feature usage, screens viewed, interactions, and basic performance metrics.
• Crash logs and diagnostic data.
• Location data (permission-based): precise or approximate location depending on your device settings.

2.3 Photos / camera access (permission-based)

If you choose to add photos from your library or camera to a capsule, the photos are stored locally on your iPhone by default. We do not perform facial recognition or biometric identification.

3) How We Use Information

• Provide and maintain the Services (including account features, token-related actions, and app functionality).
• Personalize your experience (preferences and settings).
• Improve the Services (analytics, crash fixes, performance).
• Security and integrity (fraud prevention, abuse prevention, incident response).
• Support and respond to requests.
• Legal compliance and enforcement.

4) AI Guide (Optional) — Data Processing and Deletion

AI Guide is optional. It may generate a short reflection for personal context and is not professional advice. Some AI Guide actions may use in-app tokens.

• What may be uploaded: the specific text and/or image(s) you choose to include for AI processing.
• Where it is processed: on servers controlled by Heruno Team.
• Sharing: we do not share the uploaded text or images with any third party.
• Retention: we delete the uploaded text and images immediately after processing is complete.
• Training/marketing: we do not use uploaded text or images for model training or marketing.
• Your control: you decide whether to upload anything; you can stop using AI Guide at any time.

5) Cookies and Similar Technologies

If any part of the Services uses web-based components, we may use cookies and similar technologies (which may include web beacons) to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand basic usage and performance of those components.

You can control cookies through your device or browser settings (where applicable).

6) How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share information only as necessary in these situations:

• With your consent when you request or approve a disclosure.
• Service providers (processors) who help us operate the Services under contractual protections and our instructions.
• Legal requirements to comply with law, legal process, or lawful requests.
• Protection of rights and safety to prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents.
• Business transfers such as a merger or acquisition, subject to appropriate safeguards.

7) International Transfers

We may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers, such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or other lawful mechanisms.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9) Data Retention

We retain information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

• Account data: while your account is active.
• Account deletion: delete or anonymize within 30 days, unless retention is required for legal or security reasons.
• Usage analytics: up to 12 months.
• Customer support: up to 6 months after the matter is closed.
• AI Guide uploads (text/images): deleted immediately after processing.

10) Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to certain processing, and withdraw consent where applicable.

11) Children

The Services are not directed to children under 13 and are intended for users ages 17 and older. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will update the Effective Date and, where required, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the updated Policy.
